How it started: Halloween night. I was having a party at my house. Nikki, Meggie and I were the only ones there besides these 2 boys (BLAH!) who only came because their parents were with my mom and dad at their party which was taking place downstairs. But, we kept them in a different room the whole time. So, we were discussing books when all of a sudden, we all thought of it. "BOOK CLUB!"
Getting started: We planned and decided to call it B.R.I. for specific reasons. We made up rules for it. One of which were, "A secret club. Don't tell anyone besides parents unless you have to!" and another was, "No one else may join." We were to rotate were we would have meetings. One night at Meggie's, then my house, then Nikki's and the circle would repeat itself. We were all to read the same book and discuss it. I was the president, Nikki the secretary and Meggie the treasurer. There would be sleepovers at this persons house, and we would act as crazy as we could.
Broken: Well, the second one I mentioned has still yet to be broken (about no one joining besides us). But the first one was....broken(telling people about B.R.I.). One by me (big shock). But I told a safe person who I know I can trust. This person told no one to this day. The second person, we all sort of told. You see, Nikki is a good friend to this person (or at least was). This person was slowly finding out about it and Nikki told us that we should go ahead and tell the person because she was feeling left out about something. When we told the person, they were all mad and told everyone in the grade, thank you for that! The person asked if they could join. Our answer: "NO!" As you can see, we are still mad at this person who blabbed. And now, since the secret is out, we figured, "What's the point?" And made this blog. It's really fun too!
